BY CAR
From Manhattan: Take the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel (I-478) to the Brooklyn-Queens Expwy. (I-278) to the Belt Pkwy. east to Exit 7S (Ocean Pkwy. south). Ocean Pkwy. to Surf Ave. to the New York Aquarium.
From Long Island & Queens: Belt Pkwy. west to Exit 7S (Ocean Pkwy. south). Ocean Pkwy. to Surf Ave to the New York Aquarium.
From Connecticut, Westchester County and the Bronx: Hutchinson River Pkwy. (I-678) south, over Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, and continue south of I-678 (Whitestone Pkwy.) to Van Wyck Expwy., then Belt Pkwy. west to Exit 7S (Ocean Pkwy. south). Ocean Pkwy. to Surf Ave. to the New York Aquarium.
From Staten Island: Staten Island Expwy. (I-278) east across the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, to Belt Pkwy. east to Exit 7s (Ocean Pkwy. south). Ocean Pkwy. to Surf Ave. to the New York Aquarium.
From New Jersey: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to the Goethals Bridge (exit 13) to the Staten Island Expwy (I-278). Follow the "From Staten Island" directions.
BY SUBWAY
From now until September 8, 2002, F or Q to West 8th St. station in Brooklyn. Take pedestrian bridge directly to the New York Aquarium.
Starting September 8, 2002, until Spring 2004, the W train will be the only train serving the Stillwell Avenue station in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The West 8th Street station will be closed, and there will be no F or Q trains.
BY BUS
B36 to Surf Ave. and West 8th St.; or B68 to Surf Ave. and West 5th St., walk three blocks west. (Other bus routes in Brooklyn, as well as buses from other boroughs intersect with B36 and B68.) Call New York City Transit Authority for Specific Routes: 718-330-1234. |
