The Ocean Project
The single greatest obstacle to overcome in sustaining the beauty and purity of our coastal areas is ignorance. The Ocean Project is working to change that.

Through an unprecedented collaboration that brings together aquariums, zoos, museums and other institutions-with a combined reach of more than 100 million visitors annually-the Ocean Project is working to raise public awareness of the critical importance of ocean conservation. This vital initiative seeks to complement and build upon the work of existing programs, and is working collaboratively with local, regional and national nonprofit conservation and environmental organizations. The Project's goal is to get people actively involved in ocean conservation, and introduce them to groups in their community that will give them a greater connection to the ocean in all its complexity.
